Tony Wood PhotographerIf you’re new to digital photography and your camera has been in “auto mode” since you bought it,  or you’re not getting the results you’re hoping for using  other camera modes, this course is for you !

I have developed a one day photography workshop aimed at newcomers to digital photography, or for those  individuals who haven’t used their camera in a while and are looking to re-familiarise themselves.

What will I learn :

My aim here is to teach you within one day all the skills you’ll need to get the best out of your camera and in a way that you don’t forget it as soon as you walk out of the classroom .. let’s face it, we’ve all been there !

Understanding why your photos too dark, too bright and what you need to do to correct this
Which metering mode should I use , and when to use it

Learning about ISO
Understanding  DOF
Knowing when to use Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Auto, Manual mode
Understanding Exposure compensation
Understanding Back Button Focusing
Shooting in RAW or Jpeg, or both
Understanding your camera histogram
Learning how to compose your photo

In addition to the above, you will have an opportunity in the afternoon session to put into practice what you’ve learnt .  To conclude the training, we will have the opportunity to review the images taken on the day.
